Not limited to these industries the state and federal government has set forth legislation that requires proper destruction of records.
- Per “Bin” – Paper Shredding Companies will often charge a “per tote” or “per tip”
- Pro: You pay a flat fee for everything in this “tote” to be shred no matter what it is
- Con: The Human Factor – In this age of technology why would we risk anything with the Human Factor? What if your employees do not fill the bin to capacity? What size is the bin? How much does the bin hold?
- Per Hour – Document Destruction Company will charge per hour fees for as long as their driver is at your location
- Pro: Please e-mail us if you can think of one
- Con: The Human Factor – this speaks for itself and again contact us if you would like for us to expand on our feelings
- Per Service – Paper Shredding Companies will charge a per service fixed cost for destroying all materials in your Document Disposal Containers (which they provide at no cost)
- Pros: There is a contracted cost per service which can be extrapolated to find an annual Shredding Service budget making financial projections much simpler. The cost has a direct correlation to the number of document destruction collection containers the client wishes to have within their facility.
- Cons: No matter whether the service is being utilized or not i.e. papers being put in the shredding collection containers, the client is paying for the document destruction service
