Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and help guide Shred Instead through its next phase of growth. The COO will oversee daily operations, optimize performance across multiple service markets, and ensure the company continues to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining strict compliance with security and environmental standards.
The COO will play a critical role in strategic planning, operational execution, and organizational leadership — ensuring our people, processes, and equipment all operate at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all day-to-day operations, including routing, fleet management, driver performance, and service delivery across multiple states.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable systems that improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Growth: Collaborate with ownership and senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support expansion into new markets and service lines.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure ongoing compliance with Certification Standards and other relevant data protection and safety regulations.
- Financial Stewardship: Partner with the ownership and accounting team to manage budgets, control costs, and track key performance metrics (KPIs).
- Team Development: Mentor and lead field and operations managers to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Technology & Equipment: Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance operational visibility, route optimization, and client communication.
- Customer Focus: Ensure that every customer interaction reflects Shred Instead’s commitment to security, professionalism, and reliability.
